What we do

In a nutshell

Enlighten UK aims to deliver an understanding of the challenges and perceptions that our national community faces surrounding sexuality, gender identity, race and religion. We do this by delivering insightful and interactive workshops to businesses, educational settings and social groups.

You help us educate

We use real-life stories, poems, anecdotes or just words on a page to educate. We take submissions from members of the public and use these in our workshops to give an insight into what life can be like for certain social groups.

  • February 6th we'll be at Bishop Grosseteste University speaking at their LGBT+ History Month Event
  • On the 30th June founder, Ben Petts will be hosting a TEDx Talk as part of the TEDx Brayford Pool about the work of Enlighten UK.

Who is this suitable for?

Workshops can be tailored for various age ranges. If you would rather us hold a session about diverse people or families, just get in touch and we'd be happy to create a bespoke workshop for you.

Can I submit a story?

Of course! Without our submissions, none of this could be happening. Simply head over to our Submit page to share your story.
